that depends wholly on the kind of dancing you're looking to do. you don't exactly waltz to the beatles, but you can definitely do the mashed potato or the watusi. maybe even the chubby checker, if you're feeling particularly rambunctious.
I am hoping for dances that require a partner. At the gala, I sampled something that I wince to call 'dancing' with Constantine, and it was nothing more than shuffling back and forth as though one had an itch in the foot.
I saw almost no one waltz, in fact.
One of the boys in the city is opting to show me how people dance in his— your time.
And, yeah. I do. You'd be amazed how often similar dance moves cycle in and out of fashion without people realizing it. Keep reinventing the wheel. Or the Watusi, to extend the metaphor.
[ It was only two days after her return from torture so...not in the best state. If she was even present. ]
You've said Watsui twice, now, so I am curious.
Though, if you have seen so many dances over time, you would have a better idea than most on what sort of music or dance that beings like the Endless may favor.
I reckon you'd be fine even using dances from your time. The 19th century isn't that long ago - at least not for ancient immortal entities. Aziraphale has barely changed his wardrobe since the 1860s.
[Any and all fear of Dream is promptly forgotten. At least momentarily. Crowley is absolutely livid and ready to wring an anthropomorphic personification's neck.
Probably not the best plan ever.]
that fucking cad - you're not some side bit! what the heaven is wrong with him?

I know of them a bit, sure. The White Album is probably their definitive work, but I'm more partial to Yellow Submarine myself.
If you're looking to start getting into rock music, you could do a lot worse.

What music would you say is good for dancing?

i wonder what moves he'll show you? There's a lot of stuff that's 100+ years old that's still stuck around.

What of even older? You would know of dances from centuries ago, wouldn't you?

Glad to hear it. You should be in perfect dancing condition.
And yeah, the Watusi was great. Lots of wiggling and hip-shaking. Excellent fun for the snakey-er sorts.
As for what your gentleman might like - I can't begin to guess. Doesn't mean I won't though. Try the tango.

I only had a sudden curiosity at what I might master without looking foolish, were I to meet any of his family under formal circumstances.
The tango?

And yeah, the tango. Classy, sexy, timeless.

He prefers to watch.
[ And it was cute then, but now she's incredibly sad about whenever there's a party, don't tell anyone.
'Sexy'? That's a new one. Easy to figure it out by now, but the thought of Morpheus doing anything like that is laughable. ]
I see, that is quite a passionate dance. A bit much should I dance with his brother.
I wonder at what songs and dances that the Fae enjoy?

No! Of course not, do you think I would

It was long ago. He is not married now, I assure you.

Well, not good that his wife is M.I.A. Condolences to him and all. But good he's not using you.
[Auncle Crowley would probably wind up doing something drastic if that were the case.]

Anyway, dancing! Brilliant stuff. If your gentleman likes watching, there's always pole dancing. Great work out, very spicy.

What do
How would one dance with a pole?

That may require a set of skills I have yet to master.
